i've got some coarse salt, extra virgin olive oil, a little bit of premium balsamic vinegar. so, all we're going to do to this salad is we're going to take our tomatoes and we're going to dress them with a little bit of this extra virgin olive oil and coarse salt and pepper. we're just going to kinda slide these guys around. and this is the easiest salad and so simple, so delicious. we're going to put a couple of these tomatoes on the plate... however you like... and some of this beautiful mozzarella. we'll put a couple more of these guys on there. and maybe a little bit more of this mozzarella and a couple of more tomatoes... and then another scoop of this mozzarella. and then i'm going to take this micro basil and we're going to give that a little bit of the extra virgin olive oil, a little bit of the coarse salt. we're going to toss it and we're going to put that puppy right on top and let it fall wherever you want. and then we're just going to top it with our vinegar... and there you have it. heirloom tomato, micro basil, burrata mozzarella, salad. so, once again, for "ca

i haven't seen too many people go in and buy pasta and olive oil. very close by is a meat market right up the street, across from the meat market there is a produce market. further up that street there is another produce market. there is plenty of places to buy produce, meats and burdens. obviously it is one of our concerns is what can we do to help businesses survive in this economy. we are in support of the change of use on this particular venue and would like to see the people who are currently serving businesses that serve produce and meats also stay in place. but we do think this is an appropriate change of use for this particular location. i thank you. >> thank you. is there additional public comment on this item? >> good afternoon commissioners. i am a resident in north beach. went to school here. live in the neighborhood. i go upon and down the street. i am in favor of the market the way it is. the building is excellent. beautiful looking building. if i want cheeses i will go around the corner. i shop and eat in north beach almost every nigh

so if you have your property lists or even in the back where there's a listing of olive street all of the shingles are a later addition it maintain as purity of line. especially is the blind window on the side. if your buildings listed in one of these your a qualified historical resource and you may use the space historical building code which provided alternatives to the other building code requirements and this is a great resource for us to approve the most important resources in the city. >> if that window needs to be repairs whoa to you. >> i get a lot of requests to use the state historic building code. it's called the san francisco golden age postcards and we had a copy of this and i suddenly realized a lot of people came in and they're not listed but i have this wonderful old photograph from wherever it might be. 1930s and i can use this to help document that it's appropriate to use the state historic cold or code and it's showing every aspect. old cable cars and when they were taken out officer vice and put out on the beach to make little houses and all over the city. great bo

we throw a little bit of olive oil and balsamic on these before we grill them. again, too, we don't really heavily laden our pizzas with a lot of ingredients. like it light and thin. from there, we're gonna go ahead and throw on some figs, and these are some beautiful, fresh black mission figs we have. and we'll slice some circles with them. again, you could quarter them if you'd like. now, the most important thing with prosciutto is obviously get a high-quality prosciutto, and make sure you get it sliced really thin. at this point we're gonna lightly salt and pepper it. and not too much salt. prosciutto tends to have a nice salty--it is cured with salt, so...a little bit of fresh ground pepper. and then we're gonna finish it up with the point reyes blue cheese. now, if you're not a blue cheese fan, i'm sorry, but you can use any other cheese you'd ke. um... a dry jack would be wonderful on this. a fontina would be nice on this. even a mozzarella would be really lovely on this. and from there we're gonna go ahead... and drop this...right into our oven. again, we
